Lasered Signs are made in a similar manor to routered signs, but instead of a spinning cutting piece, a laser is used. No blade or tool physically touches the sign in a laser machine. A super heated laser vapourizes the material, and cuts it into shape. This ensures a smooth finish, and very accurate results.
The laser machine also operates via CNC, the same as the router machine, meaning a digital replica of the sign must be created on the computer before cutting can occur.
Laser Engraved Name Plates Process
Laser engraved name plates are manufactured using a strong light to create detailed prints and graphics onto various materials. This marking medium is used to mark variable data and graphics in coated and uncoated metals, plastics, glass and other substrates. A laser beam is used to remove the coating from coated metals and anneal marks into natural metals. Markings are made with tight tolerances for detailed artwork and precise barcodes. Due to its versatility, laser engraving has become one of the more frequently used engraving processes for a variety of materials.
