A doming resin
has enough viscosity and surface tension to sit neatly in a dome on top of artwork without running down the sides. In other words, a doming resin needs to be thick enough to bring it right to the edge of piece without spilling over.
Custom domed are created through a process known as doming. These labels include a clear, dome-like top which makes the label more eye-catching and protects the print underneath from fading, bleeding, dirt, and scratches. The domed process heightens product image for a more decorative effect. This looks great for tags that are used primarily for marketing, advertising, or branding purposes.

and printing process for projects. Doming is a unique process that creates a virtually indestructible 3-dimensional surface that is scratch resistant. The dome on top of the label is made with the use of a special polyurethane liquid. This liquid is carefully poured approximately .060” thick on top of the graphics with precision and is then cured to a specific hardness. Once the domed top is set, the custom domed label will be highly durable and decorative.
Adhesives are customizable to our customers’ needs. We offer a standard adhesive, but also offer special adhesives are available for hard-to-adhere-to surfaces.
Although custom domed labels are very durable, exposing them to sunlight for extended periods of time can cause damage to the print. As a result, we advise domed labels to be used for interior projects, however we are able to offer recommendations for other decorative labels that withstand sunlight.
